Sold: Mivera IceEdge 1200AS amp
« on: 23 Aug 2018, 04:58 pm »
Selling my Mivera IceEdge amplifier.
It is in a Takachi case.

It is energy efficient, compact, and can handle most any loudspeaker.
This amp delivers up to 1200 watts per channel into 4 Ohms.
I'm only selling this amp to downsize and start using my tube amps again.

This equipment has been used in a dedicated audio room, with no exposure to tobacco, dogs/cats.

Specifications:
https://icepower.dk/products/amplifier-power-modules/as-series-intelligent-audio-amplifier-power/

At my asking price, shipping and PayPal fees covered.

If you see this ad, then this is still available. Low-ballers and tire kickers will be politely ignored.

Thanks for looking!

It bugs me when people remove the price

Who gains from this?

I'm pretty sure it was $1100.00, it bugs me too

If interested the Apollon that is also being sold here is actually most likely better. The company does nice work and uses good parts.

Same as Rouge Audio out of Italy, great price and great products without all the drama.

Yes, it was $1100.

When/why did this practice start?

It's not as if it was the sale price.

Its one of the few posting guidelines for the forum.

"Please update your item listing when it is sold by modifying the title of the original post.  Do not erase the ad.  Old ads help other sellers set a selling price."

True, its not necessarily the sales price but it gives others a guide of the market. But why the sudden secrecy?  I personally find it obnoxious when sellers intentionally erase the posted price after their item sells.

I always update my ads with the actual selling price when an item sells. I see no reason to hide this valuable information.

I highly doublt the  Rouge   or the Apollon  will sound  any better  than the Mivera offerings.  Mike used  high quality components in his amps and as you  went up the line, they only get better, I'm betting  far  superior to what   is supplied with the   Rouge or Apollon's.

I stand  by  Mike's  builds and  SQ of those  builds

What is your basis for this statement?  Did you compare a Mivera 1200AS amp with the other two you mentioned to arrive at this conclusion?

If you didn't, your statement is rank speculation and a rather cheap shot.

I have a base Takachi amp and it sounds awesome, paired with a PS Audio Stellar DAC or even directly with an Oppo, no complaints about the amp!

I've heard the Takachi based amp, the SE and the Rouge all in my system. If you go to the Apollon website they also use high end parts and wire. That's the basis for my statement

If you want my opinion PM me, I'm not going to discuss it here.

You referred to an amp you've never heard (Apollon) as "actually most likely better" than the Takachi Mivera amp.  I had previously studied the parts in Apollon, Rouge and another 1200AS design in addition to various iterations of the Mivera.  Your conclusion that because the Apollon also uses high end parts and wire, and, therefore, is somehow "actually most likely better" than the Takachi Mivera amp, is speculation.  Nothing more.

If you had the Rouge and the Takachi Mivera amp in your system (at the same time?), don't you know which one you think is better?

It  won't be from me, I already said I'm not going to discuss my opinion here and to PM me if you want it.

Why people are getting their panties in a wad is a bit strange. My post was to say the Apollon is an excellent deal.

Sorry I missed this, those Mivera amps have created a massive following.

Just thought I would pile on here too. There is nothing more frustrating then the asking price being replaced with "Sold". Who in there right mind thinks this makes sense, and is a good idea? I just don't f@cking get it! Why?

Perhaps he removed the pricing because he sold it for more than he paid for it???

 Well done Steve!!

Cheers,

An item is worth what someone will pay for it.  Perhaps these people should follow the rules of the forum no matter what they pay or sell an item for?

The selling price is only the business of the seller and buyer. But it would be nice to see the asking price hang around.
