Final Update - have given up. I ordered a new piccolo kit from Jim and completed it in one night. I used the BlackGate Caps I bought from Percy Audio in this one. Works and sounds great (using both stereo and mono settings on the C2) from both channels. Will now go back and figure out the problem and give it to my daughter to use in her system.
