Title: Ifi Zen Blue V2 question
Post by: I.Greyhound Fan on 1 Nov 2021, 11:28 pm
I am thinking about buying the Zen Blue V2 DAC so I can connect to my TV via BT and they run it into my main stereo system on occasion since I have 2 subs and for regular TV I just run 2ch through an old AVR.

My question is about the balanced 4.4mm out.  Is this just for headphones (which I suspect it is) or can you use a 4.4mm to dual XLR cable and connect it to the balanced inputs on my BAT preamp?

Thanks!

Larry

I just found out the answer.  It is for connecting to a Balanced Preamp with XLR and not for headphones.

That's correct. It's a balanced line out, just disguised as a 4.4mm output as two 3-pin XLRs wouldn't fit in there :)
