For me, it's Beethoven's 7th, and Dvorak's New World Sym.  Sometimes Chopin's Etude Op.10 #3

And here's the way it should be played!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yjnLmv1hHU

Depends on what I've been listening to lately.  Right now it's the finale to Finzi's cello concerto.

Usually something by Bach or Brahms.  Or one of the Beethoven piano sonatas.

A long lasting classical ear worm for me was the theme from Schubert's Opus 100 Piano Trio in e-flat - the music that was playing when Ryan Oneal's Redmond Barry character met Marisa Berenson's Lady Lyndon outside the ballroom in the blue moonlight.

Great topic! Thanks S Clark!  I look forward to hearing other people's catchy melodies.

Gustav Holst - Second Suite for Military Band, 1st and 4th movements.
Leopold Mozart - Sinfonia in B Flat Major, 2nd movement, Adagio
Jaromir Weinberger - Schwanda the Bagpiper

Depends on the day.  They just pop in!

Routine classical tunes that show up are:

O Fortuna from Carmina Burana
Respighi's Roman Festivals - especially the 2nd movement
Beethoven 5 and Beethoven 6
Hindemith's Symphonic Metamorphosis
Pictures At an Exhibition
Jupiter and Mercury from The Planets

For me it varies with what I have been listening to lately except Schubert's Death and the Maiden string quartet.  The first movement randomly pops up in my head a lot.

Right now, it's Shostakovich's Concerto for Piano and Trumpet. Can't get it out of my mind!

Thanks to this board's listing of the Concertgebouw Orchestra's streaming options, I heard two performances of this piece. (PS I couldn't figure out how to edit my previous post).

Good one! I like Lise de la Salle's version.

Chopin etude No.3  "Tristesse"-- the intro is simply one of the 2 or 3 most beautiful little bits ever written.
