What's been your experience on break in time for Decapos? I read a review on Audioreview that said it took 50-100 hours to sound good and that the first 50 were actually awful.

Mine were broken in when I bought them (used), but I've heard they take a good 50 hours to break in.  And yes they supposedly sound pretty terrible out of the box.

I have also heard that there is a long break-in period, although I also bought mine as a floor demo, already broken in.

It is an unusual driver, (with a very loose surround, I'm told) so I wouldn't be surprised to get strange sound right out of the box.
