« on: 28 Jan 2016, 03:17 pm »
My 11 y/o girls bought me a parted out 1962 VW 'hippie' Van.
They know I love cars and building stuff with them and they surprised me with this one!
Today we finished the build we did together, I'm so proud of them!
Attached is a picture of the final result.

Cool ! Now you just need them to find a full sized version you can build together.  :D  I still remember my '61 Ghia coupe fondly, my 1st compact/sports car. What a blast.  :thumb:

Cool.  Growing up we had a Karmann Ghia.   Back in the late 70's I had a 68 Bug and Baja'd it.  Did all the work myself.  Put in polished dual port heads, larger cylinders, Weber carb, light weight lifters, performance cam shaft, porsche clutch, headers and a stinger exhaust.  Probably doubled the horsepower.  It was fun to drive.
