Title: Any plans on a phono stage again? VPP-1 upgrade?
Post by: solock on 24 Mar 2014, 11:36 am
Just wondering if CI is planning any new/update on the VPP-1?  I dont onw one, and I didnt see in on your page anymore, and Ive been more than happy with your other products for sonics and value. Just wondering if there are any plans for a renewal of your phono stage?

Interested in something with loading adjustability and clean sonics.

THanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I recently designed one and built a prototype for testing, and performance is very good (much better than VPP).
We plan to make two models... a simple version with 2 gain settings, and cartridge loading via dip switches, and a higher-end version with remote, 2 programmable inputs, and more loading options.

I hope to have the simple version available later this year and we're shooting for a retail price of $600-$700.
