Hi Early B.

The crossover was purchased from GR Reaserch (Danny) by the previous owner
and was never modified, still original with original parts,
therefore I think it should be o.k.

The original crossover was designed for an MTM configuration, so your speaker is operating with a crossover that wasn't designed for it. Yeah, I'm sure your speakers sound good, but it's not optimal. The original owner should not have deviated from the design. They're worth about what you paid for them. If you got them fixed, they'd be worth several times what you paid AND they'll sound better.

What something is worth can also be what they keep you from having to spend to replace it.

My 2015 F150 XLT pickup with 160,000 miles is worth $75k.  :thumb:

Shipping those speaker back and forth across the border doesn’t make sense.  Besides that expense, where is the enclosure coming from?  Reading AA’s comments and objectives, it doesn’t appear to me that he’s into that game.  If they sound fine, let ‘em be and enjoy the music.

Hi,
the enclosures (According to the owner) were made in Vietnam by a cabinet maker.
The interior is well braced and lined with high density foam.
I have no proof of that and I don't care. (The Made in Vietnam that is.)
They might be worth close to nothing for someone  or not more than what I paid for,
but that's not important to me.
I love the sound and paying 1,000 USD+ might not be a good invesment or a good spending.
My ears won't tell th difference I'm pass 65.

Thanks a lot jmimic351
and I am now.

Hi all.
I've been enjoying my (Modest) home cinema set-up for a few months now and
several times I jump out of my recliner chair when I hear the phone ring or when it knock at the door,
but I was surprise to see that in was in a movie I was watching.
I'm impressed with GR Research speakers, even if they were modified and not built according to GRResearch specs.
In addition, seems that the speakers sound better at high volume, especially more bass.
For me no need to have a subwoofer.
Thanks to GR Research and the previous owner.
I am happy and do not want something better and more expensive.
Have a nice day all.
