Hi.
I (Now) live in a small appartment, so I have to be careful about what I will buy to entertain the retire that I am.
My first move will be a new TV and I guess I have no choice to go with a flat screen TV.
However, I would like a smart TV meaning a TV with You Tube and Internet.
I love music video.
Since from what I saw at stores, the sound of flat TV is horrible, to me.
Any recommendations, I need a second opinion.
More to come.

If you're looking for a bookshelf model, i would recommend the LGK2.1 X-Bravo or X-LS Encore

Hi Hobbsmeerkat,
I am not sure about bookselve speakers, I would need a sub woofer to get a bit more bass.
I am looking at GR Research website for floor standing speaker with a small footprint,
and will come back to get more advice. Thaks

Hi Danny,
those lookliek very small speakers, I don't think alone will give me enoght bass.
Will look at your offerings to see if a floorstanding speakers would give me bass and mids - highs like the LGK.
I also have to look for an amplifier that would be compatible with what I will choose for speakers.
Thanks.

Hi all.
I'm still looking for a (Small) home theater for my livingroom.
TV (Maybe Sony 50-60'') amplifier - not receiver (Solid state 15 to 25 watts.)
Don't need FM music nothing good for me, used to have good music on FM,
but not anymore.
for speakers : GR Research's line is very interesting, but no kit, plug and play...
Looking for suggestion on all above mentionned items.
I will be visiting 2 or 3 audio stores here in Montreal,
but I'm sure I will find here on AC more reliable and honest suggestions.
For the TV I don't think I will need fiber cable, standard cable should be good enough.
Well.... I'm going back on my search for a system that will satisfy all my criteria.

Hi Hobbsmeerkat,
I am not sure about bookselve speakers, I would need a sub woofer to get a bit more bass.
I am looking at GR Research website for floor standing speaker with a small footprint,
and will come back to get more advice. Thaks

We have a few options for smaller floor-standing speakers.
X-SLS: (taller version of the X-LS) bass down to ~45Hz
X-Omni: Has bass down to ~45Hz, but needs to be pulled away from walls due to the up-firing woofer.
LGK 2.4: Bass to ~65Hz sealed design and needs about 1 foot off the walls, will need subs.
The only model we have with deeper bass extension is the X-MTM. It's definitely a larger model, but can play down to ~35Hz in most rooms.

We're working on offering more tower models as completed speakers, but shipping gets quite expensive as they get much larger/heavier once you get beyond the X-SLS or X-Omni.
We have the X-OnWall for surround speakers, but any of our smaller bookshelf models will work well also if you want something more directional.
