I have a lot of Passover memories from my youth and I'm not even Jewish. I grew up in a rural Vt. town where there were three Italian families and three Jewish ones. We had nothing in common with the local folk and spent most of our time together. Hell, there wasn't even a pizza shop in that town in those days. So, they ate my mom's pizza and I ate lots of knishes, brisket, bagels and locks at theirs. Of course Italians and Jews have an affinity for one another, always have. I miss those days. I live in a bigger town now and folks here wonder what's wrong with it. I always tell them there were never enough Italian and Jews that settled here.
