Rick,

That looks nice!

Is the outside veneer or did you use hardwood instead of MDF?

What size is the mid-woofer?

Specs?

Sealed or ported?

Michael

All "sinker cypress" veneer, the true definition of reclaimed wood pulled from the waters where the log sunk many years ago. The woofer is 8" and the cabinet is rear-ported, tuned to a low frequency. I'm busy preparing for the LSAF and will try to get more info posted before this weekend.

Very beautiful Rick!

They remind me a bit of older Avalon offerings with the sculpted/ chiseled baffle.

Yes, they're probably the best known manufacturer for using facets.

More beautiful work Rick. They remind me of my Epicos ... oh, I’m just bragging.

Except I am certain your designs measure demonstrably better than Avalon!

Best,
Anand.

My first time posting in this circle :) but...

My friend and I stopped by Selah's room multiple times while we were there. Both offerings were easily our favorites of the show. I was really surprised by how effortless they sounded.

We also got to hear his Omaggio Line Array, and they were stunning full stop.

To be honest the only other system we enjoyed that much was the Volti Vittora, but they are more than 10x the price of the Ritorno!

I have been following Selah for a while but have never heard them myself. I am familiar with similar offerings though from the likes of Philharmonic and Ascend. I was really excited to hear Selah for the first time. My friend on the other hand had never heard of Selah, period.

Those two sets of speakers in Selah's rooms were so sensational, it really shook my friend's beliefs on what you can get for that kind of money. Funnily enough, my wife LOVED the look of the line array when I showed her a picture and said she'd love a pair sometime :)

Anyways. I wish I had been able to stay and talk more. I could've sat on that couch all afternoon! I've looking for a speaker for a 2nd system (for a while now) and I'm thinking the Ritorno will be it. It was that good. Just gotta approve it with the wifey first ;)

I was lucky enough to be able to pick up this gorgeous pair from Rick and opted to wait until the stands were also completed. Thought I'd post them here, they're even better in person. My wife wasn't able to attend LSAF, but fell in love with them when I showed her pictures. So I got them as a birthday surprise for her.

Kevin was nice enough to take an extended lunch and deliver them to my workplace (whom also graciously allowed me to make room for them so I could have a listening session).

They're bolted to the stands so they're not going anywhere. I especially love how the stands are faceted as well!

Rick, you outdid yourself on the Ritorno w/stands, stunning indeed!!
How would the Ritorno compare with the Tempesta MKII or Verita?

Closer to the Verita but actually more linear in the off-axis response.
