Yesterday, I spent some time at Best Buy checking out (again) some TVs and was leaning towards plasma. The one I liked was the
Samsung PN51e7000 which was going for $1397. When I got home and reread the reviews the price was lowered to $997.99. This
is one hell of good price and it will go up after 11/21/12. Out of the box and just on 'Movie' setting, with no further calibration, the
picture was quite stunning. Needless to say I got it. I also threw in the 5 year warranty and still left the store paying less than if I
were to purchase it the day before. The 51" 8000 series is down to just under $1200 as well for the next few days.
When one of the salesmen was discussing the Samsung with me, he kept looking over at the price and mentioned he should get one
as well but, not knowing the price was just changed this morning. Samsung has a UPP (Unilateral Pricing Policy) where they set the
price as they see fit and no one can go any lower. You have to be vigilant to catch the ups and downs.
