Hi guys,

I thought I might introduce myself to fellow countrymen on this circle...
I am very interested in meeting people with a passion for their music, particularly two channel and particularly in Perth.... I would love to listen to some other systems and get some objective feedback on my own system.

I have been following this hobby (or suffering this disease) for over ten years now and am still very much on a learning curve. I certainly don't profess to have 'golden ears' but I am trying to become more objective in system evaluation whilst remaining subjective in music appreciation!

I have done some amateurish DIY and the more I do the more I learn and enjoy.

Anyway, it was great to find this circle and I look forward to corresponding with you all. If there is any local interest I would certainly be up for hosting or participating in a listening session down the track.

Kind Regards,

Ken Arrowsmith

Is that the Ken Arrowsmith, master brewer from the Swan Brewery or am I confusing you with a Ken A. who I sold a Musical fidelity amp to drive the subs for his Apogee Stages some years ago.

HI,

Yes I'm afraid it is the master brewer version of Ken Arrowsmith... a legend in my own lunch time!

Nothing like a few quality brews amd a serious bit of good listening!

Kind Regards,

Ken

Unlike (probably most of) you guys I love hi-fi, but am not a DIYer - my take on that acronym is Destroy-It-Yourself - which clearly indicates my level of knowledge and ability.

I hang around here to learn from all you guys - and maybe to ask a question or two at some time.

My system:
Sony CDP338ESD - awaiting an upgrade/replacement
Classe Four preamp - also awaiting a replacement
Mass Technologies speakers - the little ones
Busted Whatmough 201's

Best regards,
Brad McIntosh

I'm also in Perth.

I've recently started upgrading what was quite average equipment, and discovered this site when I purchased an AKSA 55.

I'm a relative newbie, but on a sharp learning curve :D
