I'm getting deep into this. Motian and Peacock have always been favorites but Pirodda is new to me. Excellent pianist reminscent of Kuhn or Albany and perhaps early Jarrett without the ecstatic moaning.

Lucy Ann Polk. I always thought she sounded like a cross between Jo Stafford and Doris Day. Anyway she's good and she can swing.

Terje Rypdal  -  Miroslav Vitous  -  Jack DeJohnette, "To Be Continued"

2nd release from these three jazz monsters, inexplicably titled as they never did a 3rd one. Perhaps they had a plan which never materialized? Good stuff nonetheless.

Etta Jones, "Lonely and Blue"

Again, thank you Starchild for posting this!  :thumb:
This makes my fourth Etta Jones CD (others: "Don't Go To Strangers"; "Hollar!", "Sugar"), with a fifth one on my wish list ("My Buddy"). She has such a wonderful voice and uses it oh so well whether blues, ballad, or up-tempo jazz.

That's what we're here for.  I've gotten turned on to so much good music in this circle that my credit card is starting to melt.  Have you heard this one?
