A very nice way to wake up! Great story telling by Billie and the amazing musicians behind her. Analogue Productions did a very nice job (no surprise) with this one.

I dug up this sample of the album for others that were intrigued by JazzyGuy's review and recommendation. Reminds me a bit of Doc Severenson? I'm going to keep an eye out for a copy.

Yes, I think I can say we all note each others posts, we just don't always have or take the time to make note as jimd & ACHiPo have. No slight intended, and don't think your contributions aren't appreciated. Keep 'em coming, some good lookin' stuff there. As was noted everyone's tastes differ, and speaking for myself, I don't always take time to check out samples or research a given album at the time it's posted.

Your volume of posting is tough to keep up with, but I have looked up on Allmusic some of your posts that were completely new to me.

And I played the link ACHiPo posted to the album you recommended, I got a 'Maynard Ferguson' vibe from it. Not something I'd run out to buy, but would pick up if I stumbled over it in any of the record stores I haunt.

I attended his concert in Queens more than a year ago. Was very impressed by the whole group and his tenor sax player in particular.
