                    John Abercrombie Quartet:     Arcade    1978

wto - haven't checked those out yet. I've got Third - Seven incl Bundles, though at the moment 5 seems to be lost in the pile somewhere. I did pick up a combo CD/DVD of a performance in Germany circa '74 I think. Excellent audio & video recording. Interesting to see them 'live'.

Careful CB, vinyl & tubes only go together under the proper circumstances. Like when the vinyl's hot, and the tubes are cool.   :D

And have been meaning to ask, is that a TD-160 I've seen lurking in some of your photos ?

That Alan Pasqua disc is a new addition and man it smokes even without the tubes lol!  :D

Highly recommended AD!

That's a TD 145 MkII in the photos.

I like your taste in music!  Cheers! :thumb:

Likewise, musical taste-wise. I'll check out the Pasqua.

Had notice the speed selector looks exactly like the one on my TD-160 Mk II. Haven't regretted pulling it out of storage, just haven't gotten to the listening room to use it as often as I'd like. Of late stuck here at the other end of the house in the office. Keep 'em spinnin'.   :thumb:

I've got a Knight KB-85 that looks a lot like this amp.  Is this the mono version?  If so, I'm jealous of the EL-37's.

Great amps!! Dream Score! I got these 25 watt mono-blocks from the original owners daughter. Dirt cheap new in the boxes & cages (not shown) with all of the original never used Mullard's! Here's a couple pictures. The second picture is from the day I brought them home.

Sorry for the interuption guys. Back to the music.

Those amps are gorgeous!  I love mine, but damn does it run hot.  I have to put it away in the summer.

They run real hot! Being in AZ we don't need anymore heat.  :D
Right now I'm using a Monarchy Class A amp that sounds real sweet in place of the Knights. Saves the Knights a bit. Cheers!

Billy Cobham / George Duke Band  ~  Live in Europe

Atlantic, 1976

Going to see Scofield next week. The last time I saw him was at this concert in '76 with Cobham, Duke & Alphonso Johnson on bass. I stayed for both shows that night and returned the next night for 2 more shows. In 28 hours I saw 8 hours of The Billy Cobham-George Duke Band!

Hadn't listened to this in about two years, maybe longer.  She's very nice.  Good arrangements with the late Mulgrew Miller on piano.  Bye Bye Country Boy is a poignant little tale about a chance encounter written by Blossom Dearie a long time ago and its inclusion gets a mess of stars from me.  She opens with Moanin, a tune made well known by Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers from his album of the same name with lyrics by Jon Hendricks.  Good stuff, ya'll.
