Quoting Etta James: At last!

Spec wise this is promising.

I'm excited!

EDIT:
Dimensions: L x W x H 16 x 17 x 2 CM

That can't really be in centimeters?

That's a very slim height for an integrated amplifier.  Are there any photos of the rear panel available?

Now that's an interesting amp at an interesting price... Would it be considered an upgrade over my Stereo 8.5V3(in conjunction with the DAC-9..)?

NAD M3 is about the same price and when modded by Rowen, it will likely best this.

Heck, I would put my modded C375 BEE Rowen Swiss Power head to head against this, with no fear.

Yes, I would think that it would have slightly better performance.  The 8.5 v3 has the SLA caps and the IA-18 v3 has the CMA caps the same as the Ref 18.

The DDA-100 seems way more exciting at its price point, $550-

For this amp to have the same WOW value factor, i would expect a $2,500 price point.

The IA-18 truly is a scaled down Ref 18 + P-20 in one chassis, so consider it a bargain getting 90% of performance of $13000 in equipment for $3500.

Thanks for your reply.

Interesting, there'd also be the likely advantage in the IA-18's preamp/volume control over the one used in the DAC-9, so that I could by-pass the latter.

Where are the Nuforce User Manuals available?  I can't seem to find them on the website to answer these questions:

1.  Can an input be configured for HT Bypass/Unity Gain ?

2.  There are no Preamp Outputs to feed a subwoofer.  Can one of the inputs be configured as a variable output ?

The IA-18 Manual can be found HERE

1) There is not a specific HT bypass, but one need only preset a specific volume on any input and HT can be run through it.

2) The NuFORCE amp technology does not allow for the preamp to IA-18 amp to be operated without a speaker load on the amps.  While this is not the case with a sub output, having pre outputs could encourage a user to use the Outputs for other than a sub(s) and could cause issues with the amps.

The best sub option is to use the speaker level outs if you have a sub that allows that.

How does the integrated compare to ref 18's?   What does it sound like?

As Casey posted above, it is basically a marriage of the P-20 preamp and the Ref 18 monobloc amp circuits. (featuring the cross-matrix cap array specific to the Ref 18)

At most volume levels it should sound close, if not identical.

The only thing missing is the level of power per channel.
