Balanced cables: Okto dac8 to ModWright KWH225i?
« on: 25 Jul 2023, 07:08 pm »
Hi. I've just purchased a pre-owned (sorry, ModWright team...) KWH225i and an Okto dac8 to sit between my NAD M50.2 digital player/vault and the amp. Okto requires a balanced connection so I'll need to pick up a couple of cables. Pavel Krasensky, the head of Okto, told me that "any high-quality, shielded cables with gold-plated connectors will work well," but does anyone here have any suggestions? I'll just need a 1-meter pair.
Thanks!

I am using Triode Wire Labs XLR  with great results with My Okto.

Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds like a smart choice.
I decided to go with Hapa Audio's Ember cables (about the same cost), only because I like their S/PDIF Aerogel cables which I already have in my system. I hope I like the Embers as much as you like your Triode Wire Labs XLRs!

I use Belden 8402 XLRs from here-

They sound better than my Cardas Parsec and AQ Columbia that cost several times more.

Another Triode Wire Labs cable fan here. I have several sets of their XLR cables in my system.
