Hello I’m new here and hope to transition shortly in my speaker journey from conventional to OB. I came across gr research recently while looking at pure audios offerings. I’m looking at NX Treme to replace my B&W 801 D4. Have owned the predecessors 800D3, 800D2 but still hoping for better.. if that exists! Driving them with solid state 1KW monoblocks with a reasonably decent preamp - Esoteric CO2 so hoping my amps won’t be too powerful.
Danny Richie - I did not know him but watched a few you tub videos and boy he knows his stuff.. He has been very helpful and has made some suggestions which will be different and hopefully better than what I’ve tried and I have tried a few speakers including Vivid G1 Spirits but the side firing woofers did not work in my listening room. My room is 7x6M double acoustic gib, carpeted, rugs and couches - no specific room treatments but no real bottleneck’s that I’m aware of.
