Sorry for the silly question, but how does the volume control work on this?  I assume it has a remote with VC?

I think you can control the volume from the touch-screen and by the remote.

The PTA review is under Components, not Digital as I first searched. I agree, magnificent clarity is the first impression I had.

Yes, the volume is controlled either by the remote or by the touchscreen. Can't answer the how, without opening up the case.

I'm still using my DVA Digital Preamp as a DAC, with the output connected to my analog preamp input, so I can also control the system volume with my analog preamp volume control. I do have a D2A which I haven't connected yet. I can tell you I am thoroughly enjoying my digital preamp and am glad I waited for it!

Anyone know what the volume scale is on the DVA pre (0-?)?
Also what increments does volume increase by 1 or 0.5, or?

Not sure what the scale is but I listen to most music and movies between 45 and 50. That is plenty loud.

The DVA is now the best preamp I have ever had. No more hiss in my speakers. It’s that quiet. I hear details that I never heard before. Vinyl sounds better than ever!👍
