October jam?

Hello all!

Shooter got us off to a great start, but do we have anyone interested in hosting an October jam?

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of having a jam at my house. I was thinking about Saturday the 30th October. Maybe thats a bad day since thats Halloween weekend. If not how about the first weekend of November?Give me your input so I can decide. I'm in Garland Texas

I look forward to attending! I might be able to make the 30th, but the next weekend would probably be easier.

Do you have anything in particular that you'd like to focus on? cables, amps, speakers, beer...

I'm not sure what schedule Wayne has in mind, but we do have an offer outstanding to audition the JJAZ amps. At some point, we should arrange a jam to take advantage of that...

It would be interesting to see how far some of the digital amps have come and comparing them to some of Gary's tube amps would be really interesting.

I'd drive down for that.

Hi guys.

Gary, do you have any problems turning your jam into an amp/cable shootout?

Wayne of Bolder cable asked if we would be interested in signing up to be the next regional circle to host the JJAZ digital amps on their national tour. If Gary's hosting date of November 6th works for Wayne, do we have anyone interested in bringing other amps for a shootout? Obviously, I'm assuming that Gary will have some offerings, but it would be good if we could get some other contenders.

In addition, Wayne is sending some of his cables as well, so we can do some cable shootouts as well. As I understand it, the cable pack includes:

- 2 pair of 15' NITRO speaker cables (bananas on the source end and 5/16" to 1/4" spades on the other)
- 3 NITRO Plus power cables
- Cardas RCA to XLR converters
- 2 pair of SUMMIT single ended interconnects

Can we get a list of amp and cable contenders from others that can attend? I suspect we'll have plenty of tube options, but does anyone else have another digital or SS option they want to compare?

Well, it looks like the guys in St Louis beat us to the JJAZ amps, so we'll have to improvise this time. Consequently, you can declare any focus you like...

Well, I just checked my schedule and it's open on Nov 6th. So, if it's on then I'll be there.

Would you guys be interested in comparing the Ampzilla 2K to Gary's venerable tube amps? Or the Bent transformer passive preamp to Gary's tube preamp?

i think gary said about noon. i will try to get there at 11 as i am bringing my integrated amp to see how it mates with his entry pre-amp.

Hi everyone it's time! Hope to see you tomorrow. Starting around 11-12
and going however long it takes. We'll have some fun for sure. I don't know what anyone likes to drink, so if you want beer , bring your own everything else is covered.

Oh yea, forgot to mention a local guy is going to bring his Transcendant Sound grounded grid preamp kit he built. And I have a new design prototype that is pretty darn good. I will make it into a product probably. See ya.
