The Christmas Goat 2013
« on: 2 Dec 2013, 05:17 pm »
Hello!

Some might recall the Christmas goat from prior years. Tradition is that it bursts into flames or suffers some other horrible fate.

Webcam is here:

http://www.visitgavle.se/sv/gavlebocken

This year the Goat has his own Blog here:

http://merjuligavle.blogspot.se/

Info on the tradition of the Christmas Goat is here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%A4vle_goat

and a recent press release here:

http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2013/11/30/Swedish-town-hopes-giant-Christmas-goat-survives-the-season/UPI-51341385847072/?spt=rln&or=1

Especially liked the reference to "....if it didn't actually burn down this year, because that would be the most unexpected result. Then we might really get a lot of attention."

Noticed if you are into the twitting thing you can get updates that way and be one of the first to get updates if something terrible happens.

Thanks and all the best for the Christmas season to everyone!

John

Hello!

And just a day or so ago I was checking in on him..... I should have sold my shares in the acme fire retardant company last week.... We'll have to see what the modus operandi was this year....Could not spot exactly what happened but I love the Swedish sense of humor:

He added to the TT news agency; "I have a hard time believing that it may have started because of natural causes."

Thansk!

John

Merry Christmas to John Chapman and Dave Slagle--two of audio's good guys--who have helped to transform (unintended pun) my system into the glorious
wonder it is today.
