Kenny Dorham, "Matador", with Jackie McLean (as), Bobby Timmons (p), Teddy Smith (b), and J.C. Moses (d).
I must admit I picked this one up along with KD's "Inta Somethin'" just because Jackie McLean was on them. I really like these two and will likely get some more KD, such as "Quiet Kenny".
Any other KD recommendations?

The three day weekend starts in cacti-land with some Hubbard!

This is one of the better sets from the old Re-issue Series. There are quite a few good ones though, Tyner's "Cosmos" & McLean's "Jacknife" come to mind, Cheers!

Miles Davis  ~  Milestones

Columbia Mono CL 1193

From what I can tell this is a first pressing from '58 in great condition that I found at a thrift a few years back.

Yes it is, & on fire to boot, but that's the big plus (?)  on this project. With the schedule I don't have time to be outside, which with the heat I wouldn't be anyway. The office is the only room in the house with A/C, gotta keep these computers, & stereo, cool.  8)

Hey Dan - so where you moving to ? Don't think I'd trade what I'm currently doing for that job, never fun figuring out where all the 'stuff' came from and what to do with it before moving. Here's wishing a quick sale, easy move, and quicker setup.  :thumb:

Thanks JD. Likely down to Marietta, GA - they have a terrific square in the middle of their downtown. Time to downsize a bit now that I'm 60 and wish to move within 1 - 2 miles of the square so I can walk to it for socializing, activities, farmer's market, concerts, theater, etc. That way we could trim down to just one vehicle. Fingers crossed.  :)
