One I don't have, Doc, but I love his bands from the day.  Saw both his Quintet and Sextet at The Jazz Workshop in San Francisco more than once and have several of their recordings.  Little story, one night two soul brothers were sitting right next to me wondering adamantly why Mr. Lateef was wearing white sox (!) and I offered that it may be because of a foot ailment, or it may be because he's putting you on.  Either they didn't fathom the joke or didn't appreciate it coming from a white boy cause they were pretty quiet after that.

While going through random boxes at the local vinyl store, I came across a box of three 45rpm of the King Cole Trio. Recorded it seems in 1944.  Sweet Loraine, Paper Moon, Body and Soul, Embraceable You, What is this thing called Love...  I always thought of Nat as a crooner, but he started out as a jazz pianist... doing a really nice instrumental on Body and Soul.
On Capitol presents "The King Cole Trio"

For those that have never heard Nat King Cole on the piano:

One of the first Jazz albums I ever bought. It's traveled around the world. Some of it is a bit dated. The intro is particularly annoying, but there's still good stuff on this album.

Joe Henderson's Inner Urge. Really excellent Joe and a good album thru and thru with McCoy Tyner, Bob Cranshaw, and Elvin Jones (Blue Note).
