This is the first generation of the 4K version of AppleTV. Things really haven't changed that much in next two versions. Biggest change is the support for HDR10+ in 3rd gen and a different remote. I've had zero issues with it. Few minor scuffs (mainly on bottom). Don't have original box but will ship in a 4K 2nd gen box.
