We have wild parties, then bury the bodies inside the cabinets....

It should never be necessary to send a cabinet back to the factory, all upgrades can be done in the field.

Brian,

I may be incorrect, but I understood the question to about the trade-up program. What happens to the speakers used for the trade-up?

Well, maybe I'm wrong, but I understood Brian's answer to be that when you trade your speakers in, he has you out for a wild party, kills you, and then buries you in your speaker.  It's a tough trade in program.

Larry,

One guess....have you seen all the RM40 sales on the gon in the past couple months?  I have a feeling that most people aren't taking advantage of the trade up program, probably because of the cost of shipping back to Cali.

Yeah, I think most of the dealers encourage their customers to sell the speakers themselves.  They probably help find a buyer or maybe subsidize the sale if it is within the 1yr trade-up period.

I'm sure the factory will take back speakers for trade-up credit within one year, but the customer will have to pay double shipping (for freight back to the factory for the old pair plus freight from the factory for the new pair).  Usually with a private sale the buyer will pick up the tab for shipping.  Not to mention any speakers from the factory will be priced at full retail.
