This is a vintage and rare unit used by Radio Stations for cd playback. Has superior sound even by todays standard. Sound signature is correct tone and musical flow with very good detail and warmth which is akin to R2R Dacs.. The unit is non-cartridge dependent which means it accepts CD directly. This is the extra unit I am placing up for sale. This Pro version has balanced XLR out only.
The story: I was drawn to this player first at RMAF a few years ago. I spoke with an exhibitor who at the time was using this player to debut his speakers. He said it was due to the testing he did with an album that was produced by a known reputable record company (name beings with a C) he found an anomaly in the recording. His single driver speaker had no crossover and it played the full frequency range 20 HZ to 20 KHZ . The advantage he explained was he could detect errors in the recording. He used this player for this type of evaluation! His demo was so natural I had to discover this player and its attributes in my system. I bought two at the time.
