Hello,
I've been noticing more hum than usual coming from my i82 going into some BiBs with Fostex FE-126s. I was wondering if other i82 owners have noticed fairly significant hum from theirs, and if they have any tips to reduce it.
I am not using any power conditioning, so I realize that dirty power my be an issue. Any recommendations for cheap power conditioning?
Thanks.

You might want to post a WTB ad for a Felix balanced power conditioner. Several AC'ers have built these over the last couple years. This is a DIY item, so make sure to get some pictures and make sure the unit has a DC blocker incorporated.
Cheers and good luck

Hi Mark,
How long do you have your i82 and did it hum from the start?
Thanks,
Boris

It's coming up on 2 years now.
it's always had some hum
i don't know if it's increased, but i'm noticing it more now with the high efficiency speakers (94-95dB)

Hmmm... some hum is normal, with high eff speakers should not be problematic at 3-5ft distance. If it is, perhaps something changed...
