Similar speakers.
SSR is an older design with Revelator (slit cone) & Fountec ribbon.
Verita is newer design with newer improved drivers....and more $$.

I own Ported SSR, they are still well regarded & enjoyed.
It really comes down to your own wants, needs &  Budget.

The SSR Revelator has a slightly warmer presentation than the Illuminator woofer in the Verita. The RAAL to me is more relaxed than the Fountek. All these drivers are very good, but with different signatures. Taken as a whole, I would guess the Verita might be more "truthful" and incisive, the SSR a bit more laid back.
