Can you identify this version of Wish You Were Here? Dennis Murphy put a segment of it on his demo tracks. It's track 8.

I have 2 copies of Dark Side (original vinyl rip @ 24/96 and remaster cd 16/44) and 2 versions of Meddle (cd 16/44 and 1971 Japan vinyl rip in wav file that is phenomenal!). I also have Meddle through The Wall on vinyl when I want it to sound even better. Really can't have too much Pink Floyd.  :thumb:

My total of 4 versions of PF WYWH includes 2 I just ordered and I think I will not bother looking for the 'perfect' sounding version anymore...I think 4
 versions is enough.
My wife thinks I am crazy, just having 2 of the same title, yet alone 4,but she doesn't 'get it' when it comes to music.H50

2 maximum, if you include Tidal plus a CD.

Digi-G

For me it's Band on The Run.

Regular CD
25th Anniversary CD
Deluxe Box with the book
DTS surround version
AND the DCC Gold CD

I enjoy all of them too, except for the regular CD edition which I never listen to.  The DCC gets the most plays.

If we're talking about Pink Floyd only, then Dark Side is the only one I have multiple copies of (regular CD and SACD with surround).

  • SACD DSD
  • 15ips DSD
  • Original CD 16/44.1
  • 1992 remaster 16/44.1
  • Immersion remix 16/44.1
  • Alan Parsons stereo 24/96
  • Immersion Blu-Ray 24/96
  • UHQR needle drop 24/96
  • 15ips 24/192
  • Mastered from original tapes 24/192
  • Alan Parsons Quad Mix
  • 2003 5.1 Surround Mix

Of those from CD sources I prefer the first US CD releases when I can find them:

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.
I real dont understand how yous dont have the PF entire collection...
I own 3 complete collections :
The original releases in CD,  awful harsh sound yet with vinyl Mastering.
Two remastered CD versions and all the SACD released titles that are what worth tô listen.

I have the original vinyl release, and the first MFSL pressing.  No digital.

WGH

I only have the original well worn vinyl and 1 digital version of each album but have always been a big fan.

Super fans can fill in their collections with 18 new Pink Floyd albums at HD Tracks!
