Looking to buy a noise line analyzer !
« on: 23 Sep 2010, 02:36 am »
Hi all Audio Circle members.
Yesterday I saw on the Vietnamese TV (Hi-Fi / Hi-End audio stuff documentary) a device called Blue Horizon, it's a box that you plug in a electrical outlet and it tells you via LED how noisy is your supply line (120/230V-50/60Hz) you can see right away if the gizmo device you bought is doing a good job at filtering all the noise from the line.
That is the device that I have been dreaming of and did not think it existed.
I've searched on the Internet, but could not find anything.
Can some one point me in the right direction ?
Thanks.

I've seen stuff like - http://www.smarthomeusa.com/ShopByManufacturer/Monterey-Instruments/Item/PLSA/

I have power line conditioners and a bunch of PS Audio Noise Harvesters.

I'm sure there's lots more stuff like the link above

I could not think of their name and I realized I actually have a few of their Quiet Line plug in devices ( :duh:) besides a bunch of PS Audio Noise Harvesters.  I have power conditioners too

Anybody ever use this gizmo to test their equipment?  Not sure what to do after you find the "ghost" in your system.  :o

"The Ghost Meter also doubles as a tool to measure the electromagnetic fields of household items and cellular telephones."

Here's their product list - http://www.audioprism.com/products%202.html
Hi Phil.
Thanks, but that's not what I am looking for.
The unit I saw on TV has a set of seven small LEDs and a digital display.
Both indicate how much your line is polluted with interference. The size is about 4 X 6 X 3 inches.
I will keep looking and maybe go around the audio shops of Saigon.
Tomorrow in Saigon they have the annual hi end show, I might see it there.
Thanks.

I would ask these guys.  http://www.bluehorizonideas.com/

It may be a new product that's not on the site just yet.

Hi.
Thanks for the info.
I've just sent them an e-mail to ask them about this product that I did not see on their web site.

Hi.
Thanks for the information, I just got an answer directly from the manufacturer, unfortunately, the product will only be available before the end of this year and I have to buy it from their distributor, which I don't like, he's too far and not really friendly.
