I currently have a Jolida 502b integrated amp powering Merlin TSM-MM speakers with an Epik Legend subwoofer. I also have a Yamaha RX-A700 that I use for my home theater system. The Jolida does not have a remote volume control or any preouts for an amp. If I were to purchase a Crown XLS amp (e.g. 1002 or 1502, which would you recommend?) and run it thought the RX-A700, do you think I would notice any improvement in the sound quality or would it be worse? I would eventually upgrade the preamp section but I will need a preamp rather than simply using a DAC because I also have a VPI HW-19 Jr. turntable and EAR 834p phono preamp. Thanks in advance.
