Just picked these up from Al, can't wait to get them!

These are going to replace my current RAW RA8's.

These were the shipping damaged Walnut pair I bought from Al around March of 2006.

These are killer speakers and I really didn't think about replacing them till I saw the deal on the APEX II.

The price drop to $1500 pushed me over the edge. (the wife is gonna kill me!)

Asking $995obo + shipping (still have crates: 70" x 16" x 20" 150 lbs each) (+3% PayPal)

Local pickup in Chicagoland area (Plainfield) would be awesome

Give guys here a chance before Audiogon

Now the Walnut RA8'S that Steven has(sorry not Maple but Walnut)
Are anotehr sweet deal.
Steven purchases these RA8 afew months ago and now made the move up to the Apex II.

A great deal for the RA8's before they go on AG.

A couple of questions:
1.  Are these Maple or Walnut?
2.  Is there shiping damage on these RA-8 (walnut) speakers?
3.  Were these speakers upgraded in the XO at all?
4.  Are there any Pictures of these speakers?

Thanks.

Carl these are Walnut.
Not sure why Steve made not of Maple

The damaged areas were from long ago and Steve has asked if I still havethe photos of the damaged areas.
I will look other than that Steve will have to take pictures of these areas on his RA8's.

I believe Steve purchased these well over 7 months ago now.

Crossovers use the standard crossovers nothing added.

These are still a great deal for the finished pair with a few areas of concern.
Nothing like the Apex II for damage.

All of these were from long ago some back a year or more.
Since this time we send out large speakers like the RA8 and Apex II plus the HT8 in crates framed in 2X2 and plywood and all crates ship via freight companies.

See what happens when your in a hurry, and the wife is comming and you don't proofread the message before submitting it because you haven't told her yet...  Walnut becomes Maple....

These are a shipping damaged Walnut pair from around March of 2006 with the standard crossovers nothing added.

Damage is not very noticable, worst is scratch on face of one speaker that doesn't go down to MDF.  One of the dustcaps fell or was helped off by my 3 year old.  Another dustcap has a crack.  Both of these should be fixable, or get some replacement speakers for probably under $50.

Love these speakers, especially the ribbon.  Wouild not be looking at change except for the awesome deal on the APEX II.  Was sort of same deal with picking up the RA8s, great deal and awesome speakers!

Great chance for someone to give these RA8s a try at a great price.

Will try and get some pictures soon...

Decided to NOT sell the RA8's...moving these downstairs to my theater.

Picked up a single RA-8 from Al so I have 3 of these across the front driven by 3 Odyssey Stratos Extreme Mono SE's.

Should be killer!

Thanks for looking!
