used record stores
« on: 23 May 2012, 08:51 am »
I have a few records to unload and was wondering who you guys think would give me a fair deal. I'm either going to Euclid, Vintage Vinyl or Record Exchange. I dont think I have gold bars, but I dont want to feel raped either. Thanks.

The Record Exchange will definitely sodomize you.

I dont think anyone here would want them because most of them rate at best VG-. They are just a few duplicate albums I have, about 20 or so, and I just need to trim the herd. Some Zeppelin, Dead, Uriah Heep, Rush etc....  I kind of got that vibe from The Record Exchange. Fun place to be a buyer, but I've watched them in action, and dont think I want to be a seller there.

I just had a good experience with Joe at Euclid Records. He was honest and fair in his evaluation of a collection I inherited, bought a few and left the rest. He was mostly interested in old rock and jazz, so it sounds like you're in his ballpark.
To highjack your thread a little bit, does anybody know a buyer for classical stuff?

G'luck.
