Hey all...

Thought I'd update the thread with a couple i saw recently...

First of all, I'm becoming a huge Burt Lancaster fan. This guy is incredible, and I didn't even pick up on the fact he was the doc in Field of Dreams. First I saw him in The Train, which holds up incredibly well and did a wonderful job of keeping me on the edge of my seat. And then to follow that up, The Birdman of Alcatraz. Another stellar performance from Mr Lancaster, and based on a true story.

The other one I saw recently that I loved was The Asphalt Jungle. Not only a well-crafted caper, but the first on-screen appearance for Ms Marilyn Monroe. And as embarrassed as I am to admit this, as I was watching it I realized that this was literally the first time I'd ever seen here in any film. I had only seem photos of her. Needless to say, she was absolutely mesmerizing. What an incredibly beautiful woman.
