I have finally got the latest drivers in the floorstanding cabinets.
The new set of divers does have a few mods done since the first prototypes and they are for the better. The wizzer is now rolled and the dustcap is damped. The peaks at 3 and 10K are much lower now and more balanced. Now the big news is the production models are right around the corner.
The sound of the speaker will change a lot with break in, but they are a refined version of the compacts at the Montreal show with more bass. I'm running the Lotus with it and the match is really good and still getting great bass even with the drivers being so new.
The prototype 4.5"/ 5" is finally here. Looks like I will be able to get them in a Super 3 cabinet next week. The delay has everything to do with the basket and now I have paid for the tooling to be done and we will make our own baskets.
