Crossover components
« on: 23 Apr 2003, 02:13 pm »
Hi  everyone,

As this is my first post here, here is a short presentation. I'm a french audiophile, my system is composed as folow:

AH njoe tjoeb 4000 cdp
Odyssey tempest
Odyssey mono blocks
Dynaudio DIY gemini with crossovers in separate boxes, close to the amplifiers
Groneberg interconnect
Jamo speaker cable (yes:-) the weakest link of my system, to be upgraded, maybe to groneberg).

Now, the topic of this post: Klaus, what components do you use in the crossover of your speakers ? I'm using actually tritec self and audyn cap plus, both from intertechnik, and plan to use MOX resistors. Do you think copper foil inductors can be better than tritec ? what about intertechnik copper foil inductors ?

Any information and advise about crossover components is welcom.

Thanks for the link. I already know the "gemini done right" crossover, even if I didn't listen it. I forgot to mention that I don't use the stock crossover but the one developped by Dennis Murphy with some modifications.
