Looking for a recommendation

Steve,

I am in the process of simplifying my system and moving to less pieces.

This allows me to move away from the 5 component Sistrum rack that is out of the picture near my listening chair and move the gear to the floor between/slightly behind my speakers (see pic below).

Which products of yours do you recommend for the two pieces of gear:

  -  Vinnie Rossi LIO preamp/dac (weighs less than 25 pounds)
  -  Custom windows pc in a small case (weighs less than 10 pounds)

My room has a cement floor with carpet.

BTW, I am already using some of your products in my system:

  -  Iso-Cups plus ebony balls under the amps in the picture below.  The Iso-Cups are on the wood block, which is on a small Sistrum platform.
  -  Titanium Giant Cone/Spike Decoupling Gliders under my Vandy 5A speakers

Regards,

George

If the components will be on some kind of block or platform on the carpet, four Tenderfoot isolation feet under the preamp/DAC; four Big Baby Booties under the PC, between each component chassis bottom and platform. If components will sit directly on the carpet, I'd suggest four Little Fat Gliders under each component. A SuperSonic Stabilizer on top of each component would be additionally beneficial.

Hi, George. It's up to you which way to go. You'll most likely get excellent results either way. Personally, I would prefer something on the carpet to set the components on. Baltic Birch plywood is very good sonically, though you can use anything practical or decorative--paving stone, granite slab, bamboo or maple block, a small shelf, commercial platform like Symposium platform, or etc.

My goodie package of tenderfeet, big baby booties, sonic stabilizers, and tube dampers just arrived. :green:

Looks like the next week should be fun playing around with the new gear.

Thanks as always for the quick and great service Steve.   :thumb:

I agree!  :thumb: as I have some things coming this week, too.

Hey zybar, its nice to see a pic of your new space. I recall reading that you had a new room to house your system. Nice to see it. So clean and simple looking now.

Thanks jriggy.

We moved into this house in October of 2015 and I am close to getting the room where I want it to be.

It's a good room, but I wish it had the width of my old room (18'  vs. almost 12').

What goodies is Steve sending you?

Oh, that is quite the difference in room width to get used to... But glad you are liking it.

I am getting more Tenderfoot footers to go under one of my power conditioners and some of the new tenderfoot hight extenders for a pice of gear that likes tinderfeet best but has tall stock footers. I was really happy to see these extenders on the site this past weekend!
