Still waiting for the transformer cover to arrive.  The plinth is made of Zebrawood and it's finished with three coats of Bartley gel varnish (highly recommended).  I used premium internal parts including Vishay/Dale resistors, AudioCap film/foil coupling caps, MIT RIAA caps, ASC oil filter cap after the rectifier and massive Nichicon NT's for filtering.  My unit uses the constant current output circuit that Jim has suggested.  I haven't listened to it yet but hoping that it sounds as good as I think it looks.   8)

Damn fine looking phono pre...if it sounds as good as mine does you will absolutely love it.

Those Nichicon caps ARE huge!
