Title: BAT vk55 tubes rolling question?
Post by: Austin08 on 21 Sep 2014, 07:03 pm
Hi,

I just bough a used pair of BAT VK55 tube amps and want to do some tube rolling in the future. The amp came with standard factory tube, 6c33 c-b power tubes and 6h80 input signal tube. Any recommend are welcome.

Thanks,
Austin

The 6c33 supplied by the factory are great, fully tested and good sound.
(The driver tube would be the 6H8C);
What the price BAT are asking for the 6C33 tube??

FullrangeMan,

I though I saw 6H80!!!! What a bummer, no wonder I could not find any info about it. As far as the price, I did not ask Victor yet. So, what do you know about this 6h8c? How is it compare to other 6sn7?

Thanks,
Austin

Strange it, 6H80 would be a rebrand from BAT.
6H8C is a nice Russian military version from the 6sn7.
For the price its a bargain.

I never listen a 6H8C, I guess it would be similar to other Russian tubes, not supreme detailed, but excell in reliability.
