Hi all,

I've run out of duratex and need to get hold of some more! Sound imports ships it to the UK but it ends up costing quite a bit! I've seen some alternatives available the UK, namely Warnex Stucture paint and HK texture paint. Has anybody used these? If so what do you think. Any other alternatives that you all would recommend?

I have been using rubberized paintable gravel guard that is used in auto Body repair. I am unsure of its acoustic properties but is durable and has a slight rippled texture. In Canada Dominion Sure Seal SVG1 is Black and SVG3 is Beige.

My suggestion would be to get a small container of one or more of the products available at a reasonable price and apply it/them to some pieces of scrap and see if you like the result. I use Dura-Tex for it's durability and ease of application, not for any acoustic property.
