At Home Karaoke Setups
« on: 4 Oct 2021, 02:18 pm »
Hey All,
I am looking to put together two karaoke setups.  One would be smaller in size that could be stored when not in use.  This one would be used in a living room with an open floor plan and a crowd of no more than 30.  The second karaoke setup is for some big ole' fun speakers that would reside in a living room in a different house.  This setup would need the microphone and whatever other goodies that are needed.

Any of you guys here on AC have suggestions for DIY karaoke systems?

Hi,  I'm not sure where you are located.  However, in Singapore, there quite a few companies that have decent setups.  Do take a look here for something that is purpose built.  I don't thnk you want to have your friend screaming out of your expensive audiophile set and blowing up the speakers!

Microphone with cable

...and the software which brings it all together.

This setup works pretty slick! The phone or tablet runs the Karafun app. Screen mirror the mobile device to the TV and connect the TV to the powered speaker via Bluetooth.

The microphones plug into the mixer for volume control and echo effects. The powered speaker has its own volume control and the TV also has volume control.

All in came to under $300 with two microphones.  The powered speaker was $170 during Black Friday.
