If somebody wants to improve his x-overs or dc-coupling caps in his tube-amps
here comes a tip from Germany: Cornell Dubilier in Canada produces mica-caps
in the uF(!)-range starting at 0,047 uF up to astonishing 6,8 uF. Some guys told
me they might even "better" than the well-known V-Caps. I've tried 0,1 uF-caps
in dc-coupling-applications in my tube amp. What could I tell: they are awesome!
And they don't need any burn-in-time. After soldering in you get full perfomance
just after minutes! Prices in Germany between € 55,- up to € 498,-. Not cheap at
all and more expensive than v-caps. But maybe you can get them cheaper in the
states. Maybe a good improvement for VSA-x-overs also?!
