jbl powerbass pb12 help
« on: 17 Mar 2014, 03:06 pm »
this powerbass pb12 started making a very loud muffled exagerated sound as if its blown or something...I took it apart...The Sub itself looks fine after investigating it. No tears, everything looks connected..circuit board looks fine..I do not notice any resistors or anything black or blown...fuze is good.

The sub works...bumps when it should...But the bump it provides is very loud and doesnt sound anything as to what it should sound like. After researching this model alot of people have circuit board issues with this model.....

I just am looking into if i can fix it or not...Any suggestions?....also what would be the apropriate definition when a sub acts like this?...because it doesnt seem blown to me...No tears...

Could it just be not getting the appropriate power to the sub itself?  would something bad going out on the amp make it sound like this?....

I have tried messing around with all settings and its obviously not operating correctly...Just recently started doing this
