Hello,
I have looked at this site over the years quite a bit but am now at a point where I will be able to contribute a little and will probably want to ask some questions.
The speakers I bought were still in the original boxes and I am trying to learn what I can before assembling them. I will have to replace the surrounds, figure out the correct orientation of the crossover caps, figure out what dampening to do on the enclosures, and assemble them.
I would like to post what was originally included in the kit to assist anyone looking for parts or information.
I am In Port Dover, Ontario, Canada.
Thanks - Ian

  • To whom more was given more will be required.

To decrease resonances and treble paint matte black inside the enclosure and around the corners wood or rubber etc more tips here:

Thank you, all.
Full Range Man, I wouldn't have thought of breaking the inside corners. Is paintable caulk acceptable? I am not sure why you would specify matte black paint inside the box. I get the matte part, and I can see it to seal the mdf but does the colour have any significance?
I have been reading about acoustic-x to paint the inside of the cabinet and was also thinking of using 1" Sonic barrier on the back of the cabinets and 1/2" on the sides. https://www.parts-express.com/cat/cabinet-damping-material/311

I will post pictures once I get the supplies needed and get into this project.
