potential V3 logo

I just started playing around with a logo design for what will be a new speaker design called the V3 and I thought I'd share it.  Feel free to comment on the design.

I should have details on the speakers themselves (including pictures) ready to post in the next day or so.

V3?? :o :o Is this going to be a "cost-no-object" design?

What happened to V1 and V2? In fact, where does the HT1-3 name come from? Will there be a name, like Veracity, associated with the V3 model? The V3 logo looks good. New models are always exciting.

V1 and V2 do not exist (yet).  V3 is a 3-way.  The Veracity HT1 is a 2-way with a single midwoofer.  The HT2 is a two-way with two midwoofers.  The HT3 is a 3-way.  I am thinking that if and when there are follow-ups to the V3, all will be part of the "V-series" models.  The "V" stands simultaneously for "Visaton" (drivers) and for "value".

On the contrary.  It will be a "cost is a primary object" model.  However, it will not be compromised in terms of performance in any significant degree.

I never like to talk about any new model until it exists.  That is why I didn't mention the V3 project previously.  We just finished putting them through some listening tests with some highly critical listeners and I feel confident the model is ready to be announced (although some details are yet to be worked out).

I hope to be able to take some time this evening to put together a write-up on them.

I like the logo.  I'm anxious to see it on a speaker! :)

Don't hold it against me Jim but the logo, IMO, isn't fluid.  My eye really struggles with the two different fonts and sizes, no harmony there.  Very much like seeing woodgrain sections that don't align well.

Looking forward to seeing the speakers though.

I would never hold it against you.  I am not a graphic designer, but I work cheap!

"Art" is a totally subjective matter. I actually thought the design looks pretty decent. My suggestion is just to go ahead with what you feel is right, seeking too many opinions when it comes to "art" is just plain headache and nothing good will come out of it.

I kind of like the idea of incorporating the "3" in the "V" like my corny picture.
I am really sorry about the picture.
