the 595 has a real flimsy case would it be worth it to add some weight to it and maybe better feet?

I'd think so.  I have a 2000ES CD/SACD laying around at the moment which I used at one point in the secondary bedroom and then the secondary basement systems.  It seemed to benefit from a little better isolation.
