Here are some recent measurements.  These results were achieved in a 15' x 13' x 8' room which is sparsely furnished.

Note the reduction in all the peaks and the elimination of the 40Hz node.  Also note the improved high-frequency response.

Can you please specify how much of the product was installed and where in order to get the results?

How were the measurements taken?

Putting up a graph without any supporting info has very limited impact and use.

George,

Sorry for the lack of information.  The results were obtained with 4 Adapt Triangles and 6 Adapt Rectangles.  They were placed as suggested in our "Recommended Placement" diagram on our website.  The two rear vertical corners were not treated due to a bookcase on one side, and a door in the other.

The measurements were taken on pink noise with an RTA and downloaded into Excel which was used to make the chart.

Please let me know if you'd like any more information.

More information will be available soon, but expect a product with dimensions of roughly 30" tall by 12" wide by 6" deep.  High density fiberglass and of course a reflective front layer and a few other tricks.

At the show my Japanese distributor wanted to hear the difference with and without the bass products so on the amazing Caliburn turntable and Peak Consult Zoltan speakers, I moved the bass traps in and out while a few cuts played.  There were others in the room including a Absolute Sound reviewer who were very impressed by the difference.

Is it going to be a helmholtz resonator?

Darn!  No one makes those things, and they're darn hard to design.  Will it be similar to ASC tube traps:

bass traps and rectangles

Nathan:

How will your new bass traps be installed, if there are already Rectangles in the vertical corners? Will the bass traps replace the Rectangles?

If these things can outperform the Real Traps Mondos, you'll have a winner on your hands.

How soon before you'll have them ready for sale?

The bass traps are placed on the floor in front of the rectangles so both can be used simultaneously.  This gives you seamless corner coverge to a few feet from the ceiling.

They should be available in a month or so.
