how about you actually put into words what you want instead of calling people unfriendly. Vinnie Rossi does a lot more than just mod Toshiba 3950s

By the time of the comments that I was refering to as unfriendly my intentions were known. I will try to be clearer right off the bat in the future.  Again thanks for you kindness.

click on the link in my signature, scroll down and get a few 3950  mod ideas.

Vinnie Rossi's mods are mostly generic power cleanup suggestions.  There's a lot more you can do with a 3950. Not sure if you are looking for a player or just transport mods. I didn't bother with its analog output at all.

well, then you had everything you needed to know - or were you among those who think my rope caulk work is a practical joke? ;-)

Planned additions later this year if I feel like it:

custom clock (XO Tent clock with dedicated battery power supply), battery power for everything under 12V on the PCB with separate regulators for each different voltage.  Custom chassis with remote power supply box and umbilical connection between that and transport head-end.

Meanwhile, I als would use Blackgate capacitors for every single position where I used Panasonic FC and Nichicon Muse - they simply are audibly better and that justifies the cost for me, especially once you run clean battery power for most of the unit.  So a rebuild is coming soon - perhaps by end of summer, once I am done with my preamp repbuild.
