Title: GK-1R Finally cased up
Post by: Grumpy_Git on 5 Jan 2011, 06:21 pm
So, its only taken me 5 years and its a new decade but I've finally done it!

Yes, my GK1 is now wrapped in Shiny Aluminium, admittedly, its not finished as I need to decide what to do with buttons and the IR Reciever, maybe mount through the the side of the case?
Or I was thinking of piggybacking a second IR Reciever and just hiding the buttons inside with just one hole somewhere for the IR. (Hugh, any suggestions for a model number to look for?)

Also I need to do something with the Selector knob as this is currently blu-tac'd in place, suggestions?

And I'd also like to raise the main board to stick the valves clear of the case.

Enjoy

Nick

Very nice work, Nick!!  Congratulations, this takes resolve, determination, I admire your layout, very neat.

Yes, you can set the buttons inside, expose only the IR sensor to the front.....

Any standard IR learning remote will do the job, Nick, there's a multitude in the market these days.

No hum?  All banished?  Always the last frontier with a preamp,

Thanks for posting the piccies!
